New Calling

Last week I was called to serve as the Young Women's president, and today I was sustained. I am very excited to get started on this new call. Many people might say I am CRAZY, but in all reality, this has been something I have been wanting for a while now. Not necessarily the president calling, but to work with the young women. Especially since I plan to teach someday, and this will give me a head start in understanding how today's youth thinks, their dreams and aspirations. I will be having our first activity with them this coming Wednesday, I have an idea for a get to know you game, but I would like to get ideas from any of you who read this.

    that's very exciting! congratulations! i'd be a wreck, but it sounds like you're ready for a big job like that. i've been in a few YW presidencies and what i've noticed is that while every president has been different, they all had a great love for the girls and showed it in their own ways. just be an example and have fun! the get to know you game is a good idea...there are tons of ideas online.
