Well last night I got to be at my parents house for family home evening. After that while we were having dinner, my sister Ruth asked me if I could help her with her math homework. As I was working with her it was nice to know I would help her. And I was very impressed on how fast she got the material and was able to solve the math problems. She is a very smart girl and will be a very good student. I sure hope she can be a better student than me.
As the minutes went by 9:30 came around, she started to drag and complain on how tired she was. At that moment I remember my late nights working on homework. And I told her to stop complaining, and had her ask mom about my late date nights with homework. As my mom told her, I remembered how there were days that they were unable to help me so my dad would call around to see if there was anyone available to help. I remember how he would drive me to their houses late at night and how that girl (which I wish I could remember her name) would just be waiting to help. She was always so patient and willing to explain until I understood. And before we would head out would always tell me that I could always count with her help.
And well now its my turn. Thanks to my parents and the girl's dedication to get me the needed help now I can be the one to help my siblings. Yes, sometimes being the oldest sucks, but there is also the benefits on being the one who the young ones look up to. I really know my lil sister appreciated my help, and I am just so grateful that I was able to help.
